Brief, but very interesting

This was an eminently readable book. Many history books are very dry, and don't convey the information about the subject in a format for the layman. This book does; I hope the author does go on to produce more books, about other civilizations.
This book would not, I assume, be considered a scholarly treatise upon the subject of the Hittites but for someone wishing for an introduction to the subject it serves that purpose admirably.

Bare bones

Be aware of what you are getting for a dollar: 59 pages, no navigable table of contents, no index, no maps or pictures. You could do as well with the Wikipedia article, for free. The author writes clearly and well, but this "book" leaves you wishing for more detail and referencing.

This was an interesting read. I knew next to nothing about the Hittites prior to finding this book and now I'm going out of my way to find more information on them. The only thing this book needs are some illustrations/maps of the areas it describes, in my opinion.
